The Hilton Hotel hosted the first edition of the "CAM-EU Business Week" from February 20th to 22nd, 2024. Under the theme "Seizing Investment and Business Opportunities in Cameroon," this event showcased Cameroon's opportunities and comparative advantages as a strategic destination for investors, highlighting specific sectors.
The opening ceremony was presided over by His Excellency the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Coordinator of the CAM-EU Partnership, in the presence of Mr. Henrik Hololel, Director-General for International Partnerships at the European Commission, the Head of the EU Delegation, and representatives of the diplomatic missions of EU member states.
The Cameroonian delegation, comprised of government officials and representatives from the private sector, was able to present numerous projects in need of funding in priority sectors.
The forum's agenda included thematic roundtables, B2B and B2G meetings, workshops, and a visit to the Nachtigal hydroelectric dam.
It should be noted that the 9th edition of the PROMOTE trade fair was held in Yaoundé on the sidelines of this forum, with the theme "Private Sector, Evolution and Structural Transformation of African Economies."
