Under the authority of the Minister of Economy, the Cell's mission is to assist in coordinating and monitoring economic and technical cooperation with the European Union, its Member States, their Cooperation Agencies and the European Investment Bank, for the preparation, implementation and efficient monitoring of interventions, programs and development projects financed by the resources of the EU's multi-annual financial protocols.
In this capacity, the Cell is responsible for:
Facilitate the alignment of EU interventions with Cameroon's National Development Strategy
Ensure the quality of information necessary for national interventions within the partnership with the EU, its Member States, their Cooperation Agencies and the European Investment Bank
Contribute to capacity building of national actors interested in this partnership
Contribute to increasing mobilization, disbursements and absorption of partnership financial resources for interventions benefiting Cameroonian populations
Contribute to improving partnership coordination and dialogue between parties
Monitor the completion of audits commissioned by the European Union
Support the design and implementation of EU financial instruments in Cameroon, according to different cycles of financial programming at national, regional and global levels
Develop monthly and semi-annual dashboards
Report regularly on the physical and financial execution of the multi-annual indicative programme
Ensure proper maintenance of archives and documentation related to the partnership
Support the implementation and closure of European Development Fund (EDF) interventions
Perform all other missions entrusted to it within the framework of coordination and monitoring of the partnership between Cameroon and the European Union

The EU Delegation monitors bilateral relations in political, economic, trade and cooperation areas and supports the regional integration process.

The mobilizing role of the Embassy is equally crucial and strategic for the other two components of the EDF, namely the RIP and Intra-ACP, whose benefit is subject to competitive rules among beneficiaries.
