Multi-year Indicative Program 2021-2027
The programming exercise for Cameroon draws on the European Union’s assessment of its policies regarding the partner country for the 2021–2027 period. It highlights, in particular, Cameroon’s key role in regional peace and stability—both as a major pillar of security and economic stability within the CEMAC and Lake Chad regions, and as part of the Congo Basin, the world’s second-largest "green lung." A deterioration in Cameroon’s political, security, or economic situation would have a negative impact at the sub-regional level, clearly affecting the interests of the EU and its Member States regarding peace, security, and the sustainable management of natural resources.
